Our stress management training gives employees a thorough understanding of how the stress response activates under pressure and what they can do to manage it. They learn how to change the thoughts that drive stress.
The program trains your team to control situational stress as it occurs, develop responses to frequent stress scenarios, cut off the escalating spiral of stress, and implement recovery and preventive solutions. The interactive program equips your team with skills vetted by the research to change reactions to demands, relieve tension, and build resilience, including the use of optimism to counter false beliefs and pessimistic thinking.
The primary goals for our workshop are to help our clients:

At Zone Performance we use high tech equipment like the Neurotracker and Senaptec Sensory Training Station to optimize the brain functioning and the well-being of our Executive clients. The scientific benefits of using the Neurotracker and Senaptec are as follows:
Neurofeedback, also called EEG Biofeedback is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive, drugless method for teaching the brain to function in a more balanced and healthful way. A simple and pleasant learning modality that can help shift the way the brain produces and distributes its electrical energy. Four divisions of electrical impulses made by our brain, Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta are called “Frequency Bands”. These Frequency Bands tell us which parts of your brain are active and which frequency bands the brain should be using to complete a given task, activity or should be most active during different states of mind.
Which Frequency Band & Areas of the Brain to Train
The qEEG-report is the assessment process that allows us to determine the brain wave patterns by gathering information about the electrical activity of specific locations of the brain. To do this, we place what looks like a swim cap with a number of sensors on your head to measure the brain wave activity of the various frequency bands. This is done with the client sitting quietly with his or her eyes closed for approximately 12 minutes and then with eyes open for an additional 12 minutes. Our equipment will then analyze this information and generate a series of images that will identify which areas of the brain may be too active or not active enough. This is called a Brain Map. The Brain Map provides an invaluable overview of what is going on in the brain and will be used in conjunction with information provided by the client to develop the training plan.
How is Neurofeedback Done?
Sensors are placed on the head and ears to record the brainwave activity. High-tech equipment amplifies the electrical impulses and breaks them into the four key frequency bands. Using sophisticated computer software a customized protocol is developed to address the individual’s unique needs. During the session the Neurofeedback Clinician monitors the raw EEG signal as well as the chosen frequency bands. Exercises can be done with either eyes open or eyes closed. With eyes open the Client is watching a video or playing a game. The video fades in and out depending on whether or not the brain is increasing and/or decreasing the desired frequency bands.
Why Does Neurofeedback Work?
Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain’s ability to change itself through a process known as Neuroplasticity. It utilizes the same learning process that occurs whenever we acquire a new skill. The brain learns by forming connections between nerve cells and utilizing important pathways that connect different locations in the brain. The more frequently you utilize these pathways the better the brain becomes at performing the associated task. In psychology, this type of learning is called “Operant Conditioning”. It is a type of learning in which responses come to be controlled by their consequences. Quite simply, Neurofeedback offers the perfect learning conditions, since it facilitates awareness of when the brain is producing healthier brainwave patterns, provides reinforcement for the positive change and multiple opportunities to provide practice during a training session.
Your brain is not hardwired. In fact, it has the ability to create new neural pathways. Yes, your brain can learn, grow and improve all through life as a result of neuroplasticity. When it comes to improving performance, Zone Performance’s Neurofeedback Program is a scientifically proven system that trains the brain and allows it to create new pathways and connections. When this occurs, brainwaves are optimized which improves communication and function throughout the brain and body.
Frequency Bands and Daily Life
During normal daily activities such as balancing our check books or following directions in class, certain areas of our brain will need to be active and using the faster frequency called Beta. On the other hand, if after a long day we wish to relax and wind down, a different part of the brain will need to be activated using the slower brainwave frequency called Alpha. The goal of Neurofeedback is to improve the brain’s ability to self-regulate, maintain flexibility, and smoothly shift between states of relaxation and arousal. Since the Brain also controls Attention Regulation, Emotional Regulation and Affect Regulation, this ultimately allows the entire Central Nervous System to resume normal functioning.
Brainwaves in proper function run like an orchestra. Nothing too loud, nothing too quiet, with a harmonic beat. Restoring this natural symphony is what we do.
Outstanding performers in all fields are taking advantage of neurofeedback technologies to reach their peak; from London’s Royal College of Music, Esports, to Poker champions. It is extensively used in elite sports; by professional athletes, Olympic athletes, and there are numerous teams and clubs around the world that are using this technology to optimize the health and well-being, safety and the performance of their team members.
Surgeons use it to improve their concentration and composure; corporate executives use it to increase their emotional intelligence for improved leadership skills and better time management; other business clients have used it a mental guide to reach deep relaxed states so that they improve their decision-making skills. Many people use neurofeedback brain training for the release from stress, to improve sleep, and to be at their best no matter what circumstances they face.
Remember, the brain is like any other organ in the body. If you exercise it, it performs better. An efficient brain can accomplish more, with greater accuracy, in less time.
For attorneys, business leaders and the financial community, greater efficiency means that less mental energy is wasted keeping their composure, second guessing, over analysing, and maintaining emotional control.
This is a technique that utilizes pulses of light and sound at specific frequencies to gently and safely guide the brain into various brain wave patterns. By altering your brain wave frequencies, you have the ability to boost your mood, improve sleep patterns, sharpen your mind and increase your level of relaxation, all with the simple push of a button! AVE also increases brain health by increasing cerebral blood flow and stimulating beneficial neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and endorphins.
